Jon Traylor

Recently elected to the Lake Cherokee Community Foundation Board of Directors, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and support the longterm wellbeing of our lake community. My wife and I grew up in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. We became Lake Cherokee shareholders in 2021, and after completing construction of our home in 2025, I retired from Abbott Laboratories following a 34year career. At Abbott, I served as Controller and Sr. Finance Director, providing financial leadership for several global business units and major corporate initiatives. Although this is my first time serving on a nonprofit board, I look forward to applying my financial, strategic, and organizational experience to help advance the Foundation’s mission and strengthen the future of Lake Cherokee.
